Chennai: Diagnostic service provider Apollo Diagnostics has officially launched its Digi-Smart Central Reference Laboratory (CRL) in Chennai – a next-generation, fully automated diagnostic facility designed to revolutionize lab operations and accelerate patient care.

Spanning 45,000 sq. ft., the state-of-the-art CRL integrates five key laboratory disciplines – Clinical Chemistry, Immunoassay, Serology, Hematology, and Hemostasis – into a single, digitally monitored, AI-powered track.

This seamless unification, supported by robotics, high-resolution cameras, and machine learning algorithms, enables a 60% reduction in laboratory turnaround time (TAT) and dramatically improves diagnostic accuracy.

Tests at Apollo Diagnostics

Capable of processing over 100,000 samples daily, the lab caters to healthcare providers across India and Southeast Asia, offering over 3,000 types of diagnostic tests. It also houses advanced capabilities in molecular biology, medical genetics, histopathology, cytopathology, flow cytometry, and more – making it one of the most comprehensive diagnostic infrastructures in the region.
