Thane: KIMS Hospitals, in collaboration with Medulance, has unveiled Thane’s first AI-powered 5G Smart Ambulance, revolutionizing emergency healthcare in the region.

This cutting-edge ambulance is designed to significantly enhance critical care during transit by combining artificial intelligence and ultra-low-latency 5G connectivity.

Unveiled during a live demonstration at KIMS Hospitals, the AI-powered 5G Smart Ambulance showcased advanced capabilities in real-time patient data transmission, including ECG, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.

AI-Powered 5G Smart Ambulance: Continuously Analyze Vitals During Transit

What sets this next-generation ambulance apart is its AI-based monitoring system, which continuously analyzes vitals during transit and alerts emergency doctors instantly – enabling life-saving interventions even before the patient arrives at the hospital.

“In critical emergencies, every second counts. Our AI-powered 5G Smart Ambulance enables clinical decisions to begin while the patient is still en route,” said Dr Ankit Biyani, Head of Emergency Medicine, KIMS Hospitals, Thane.

“This isn’t just a technological upgrade; it’s a reflection of our commitment to patient-first innovation,” added Saurabh Gupta, Regional COO, KIMS Hospitals. “By leveraging the synergy between 5G and AI, we are raising the bar for emergency care in Thane and across Maharashtra.”

The system features high-definition communication tools, AI-based analytics, and real-time telemetry—all functioning seamlessly over 5G networks. Emergency room teams can interact with ambulance staff, review patient vitals live, and prepare for the patient’s arrival, maximizing the ‘Golden Hour Advantage’.
