Pune: Dr Mahendra Singh Basu, Ayurvedic eye expert and founder of the Dr Basu Group, has been credited with restoring the vision of a Pune youth who had been blind for over 15 years due to Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) — a degenerative retinal disease long considered incurable by conventional ophthalmology.
Bhagyash Suresh Jadhav, diagnosed with RP in 2010, endured night blindness and progressive vision loss for over a decade. By late 2024, his peripheral vision was nearly gone due to macular degeneration, significantly affecting his ability to see even during daylight.
“I visited many experts over the years. They all said the same thing: there’s no cure,” Bhagyash said. “It was devastating.”
Ayurvedic Remedies: Retinitis Pigmentosa
That changed when Bhagyash came across a public exchange featuring Dr Mahendra Singh Basu and Bollywood actor Govinda Ji, where Dr. Basu discussed breakthroughs in Ayurvedic remedies for night blindness and retinal diseases. Inspired, Bhagyash booked a virtual consultation and began treatment under Dr. Basu’s guidance.
“My vision started improving within five minutes,” Bhagyash claimed. “My peripheral vision began to return, and I could finally see clearly in low light. It was a miracle.”
Dr Mahendra Singh Basu, who has spent decades developing integrative therapies combining Ayurveda and modern scientific principles, is known for treating eye conditions deemed untreatable by mainstream medicine.
“Dr. Basu didn’t just treat my eyes—he gave me my life back,” Bhagyash said emotionally. “He’s a gift to humanity.”
